Runner-Up #1: Alyssa Shukar Stories All the pictures were of a certain distance, all of the pics had the same feel, and some of the stories could have been told better. The street-sweeper photo was well done and the baseball picture added a happy feel. I didn't really like the portfolio because it was all mixed up. It transitioned from depressing to happy with no transitions. Also, I couldn't really tell what story the pictures were trying to tell. The only positive of the portfolio was that the lighting was good throughout and there were some really strong pictures. Runner-Up #2: Nick Adams Stories The focus was off in the cheerleading picture, photographing disabled children is unoriginal, and the football player picture was framed incorrectly. The photo of a man jumping through pools of light was great and the bird flying had really interesting diagonal lines of blurred light.
