First Photos

This is a photo I took of a flowering plant in the Courtyard. I like this photo because the colors are bright and sharp. I chose to post this picture because the flower contrasts with the school's arcitecture blurred in the background, and the yellows and reds of the flower stand out against the sky. In addition the flowers in the background form an eye line as well as the covered walkway in the background. To take this photo, I chose to center the flower in the frame because I wanted it to be the main focus.

This photo is a candid of Camryn. I chose this photo because it shows emotion and the joy Camryn finds in photography. I was about to take a picture of her taking a picture, but I decided to wait. The result was Camryn showing off her photo with a smile. I like this picture because of the color, focus, and that the subject is in the left side of the frame. Because she is to the left, you feel like she is smiling at someone, not just off the frame.
