  2. The subject is the teacher and student at the table.
  3. I think it is pretty clear what the subject is, although some might interpret the table as the subject.

  1. This photo shows mergers.
  2. I am trying to show merging by having the subjects' bodies cut off at weird places.
  3. I purposefully don't have a clear subject, because I'm trying to show why photographers should avoid mergers.
  4. It might have been a clearer non-example if I had one subject cut off instead of three.

  1. This photo shows the rule of balance.
  2. The subjects are the two girls staring at the graduated cylinder.
  3. I think the subject is pretty clear, because there aren't any other prominent objects.
  4. I think I could have improved the photo by finding a cleaner background and removing the distracting tupperware.

  1. This photo shows the rule of lines.
  2. The subject is the male student holding the fire extinguisher.
  3. I feel that the subject semi-clear, however people might be distracted by the fire extinguisher and the students in the background.
  4. I think the subject would have been a lot clearer if I had blurred the background.

  1. This photo shows the rule of thirds.
  2. The subject is the male student holding his poster.

  4. The subject is clear because there is a simple background behind him.

  1. This photo shows framing.
  2. The subject is the two students collaborating in the background.
  3. I think the subject is semi-clear, however people might interpret it as the sculpture.
  4. I don't think I could have improved this image to make the subject clearer.
