Bowie
I don't think I achieved any photo rules with this picture. The dog's hand and foot are cut off, there is a distracting background, and nothing is highlighting the subject.
Happy
I don't think I used any composition rules in this picture. The slightly different background in the very right side of the picture draws your eye away from the subject, and there are no techniques used to make the subject stand out.
Square
In this photo I used the rule of simplicity. The background is simple and clean, and  easily draws attention to the subject.
Metal
In this photo I used the rule of lines. The crack in the background follows the line made by the chain. Because it is diagonal, the picture is more dynamic.

    I really like the "metal" prompt photo with the background out of focus and the chain in focus its clear what the subject is.
