The Falling Man

This image is very controversial, and I can understand why. In one way, it is photojournalism and we must accept the terrible things that happen in the world. In another way, the falling man is seen as a suicide jumper and people feel that it is wrong to portray the victims of 9/11 as commiters of suicide. I think the image of the falling man is simply shocking. I still don't feel like it actually happened. But the worst part is, it did happen. It makes me sick to think of how it would feel to free fall to your death. However, I think this image is very important, because it truly portrays the pain and suffering 9/11 caused.
