Warm-up


  1. As I worked my way through these images, I felt respect and admiration for Angelo and his wife's strength, but also deep sadness for their situation. The beginning was sweet as they supported each other, but by the end all I felt was grief.
  2. The photos show the struggle that they are facing, but the cancer the wife hasn't doesn't define their love for each other or how they have lived their lives. This quote shows his positive outlook on their situation.
  3. I don't think I could shoot photos like this if I was in this situation. I wouldn't have the strength to capture my spouse's misery and pain this clearly, it would just make everything too real and too sad to deal with.
  4. If I could write Angelo a letter, I would tell him that his photos were inspiring. I would also tell him that even though the grief seems unbearable, he will eventually find happiness again.
