Fashion

  1. They made the model's neck longer and narrower, her eyes and lips bigger and they changed the shape of her face.
  2. They made the models neck longer, eyes bigger, legs longer, feet smaller, changed the shape of her shoulder and face and changed her skin color.
  3. They completely changed the shape of her entire body from the size of her legs to the shape of her chest and they gave her longer hair.
  4. I don't think it is ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like in these photos because that isn't what the model actually looks like. It's wrong to tell girls that "beauty" is what these photoshopped models look like when in reality they look a lot worse.
  5. It would be more ethically wrong to manipulate a photo if the image was promoting themes such as loving yourself the way you are or natural beauty.
  6. Changes to someones appearance such as removing acne or fixing the lighting is OK. What isn't OK is changing the shape and size of their body and face. This isn't "fixing" the model's picture, this is completely changing what the model looks like.
  7. Fashion photography is used to promote a sale, and isn't as concerned with presenting things as they really are. Photojournalism is all about showing the truth and reporting the facts. Fashion photography persuades and photojournalism informs.
  8. Fashion photography is not realistic because almost no one looks like the images of the model they create. Photojournalism is very realistic because its job is to report the truth.
  9. I think you are showing us these three videos to teach us about the photoshopping techniques used by fashion photographers, and how unrealistic fashion images really are.
  10. None of these videos are about guys because society is only concerned about female image, not male. Also, gorgeous women help sell more products to both genders because guys like it and girls want to look like the models.
