Great Portraits

http://blog.phowd.com/2014/09/7-tips-shooting-great-portrait-photographs/

On this sight I looked at seven tips for taking portrait photos. Each tip was explained in detail, and I found each one very helpful. For example one tip was to leave negative space in the image so it is more interesting and unique.

I learned from these tips that breaking the photo rules can be a good thing and that getting the model out of their comfort zone results in a much more natural photograph.

I chose this image because I liked the photographer's use of negative space. I think that using negative space makes the image very dramatic and highlights the subject. In this photo the photo rules are rule of thirds and simplicity. The photographer is Rajib Mukherjee.
